Introducing - CRED
We are excited to share that our first game, CRED, will be coming to crowdfunding soon! Designed by first time designer, Cooper Youngs, CRED features competitive cooperation and has players take on the role of partners in an up-and-coming real estate development group, Mountain Edge Realty.
-
The game can be played by 2-6 players (2 with variant) with a play time of 25 min/player. While players are working together to build the park, only the player who contributes the most to the park’s success will claim victory. (PS: No traitors or mean backstabbing - we are professionals after all!)
-
Worker Placement is the driving mechanic in the game with the incorporation of Tableau Building, Dice Chucking, and Negotiation adding additional depth to each turn! Roll your sales dice to score that huge deal, manage special abilities to stand out amongst the crowd, and carefully negotiate individual building ownership levels to maximize your distributions!
-
CRED puts players right into the shoes of commercial real estate developers. Based off of a real-life business park in Aurora, Colorado (Majestic Commercenter), all aspects of the game are based off of real world scenarios, numbers, and outcomes to balance game simplicity with authenticity.
-
The game engages players by allowing them to make real decisions on how to establish their own CRED through smart collaboration and individual action. By negotiating ownership in newly constructed buildings, managing investments, and tactical management of in-game skills, players receive distributions based on the ownership they have in buildings (as long as they are leased up!). If you play your hand right, you can forever cement your name as a true real estate tycoon! We collaborated with industry experts to ensure accuracy and to give players that classic “tycoon style” gameplay that so many of us love!
What is CRED?
Played over nine rounds split into three equal eras.
Themeatically, this represents your park from 1998-2025.
Each era, like in real life, the game dynamically changes to address real world price and cost changes.
Five phases in a round
- Players receive distributions based on the park’s occupancy level
- Tenant terms decrease
- Event Phase
- Open for Business (main phase)
- Clean up
Open for business
Players utilize worker placement spots to do things like:
- Hire & train staff
- Plan & construct buildings + negotiate building ownership
- Lease to tenants & develop reputation
- Leverage financing at the bank
Earn your CRED
Players gain points both in game and at the end game for actions and accomplishments that contribute to the park’s success.
At the end of the game, the player with the most CRED is crowned the winner.
